There are several difficulties that we had undergone during the process of creating the lesson plan. First, we were not sure of the syllabus being taught to Form 3 students. But after a little research and a help from a teacher, we were able to determine and produce a lesson plan which is suitable for their age and level. Finding the right article for the lesson plan from the Internet was an easy task, however, there were too little questions available for the exercise. Thus, the difficulties arose. We produced our own questions using Hot Potatoes software which can be download for free from the Internet and to make it more interactive we took a bit of time producing different types of questions ranging from multiple choice question to crossword puzzle. This was quite time consuming and tedious. Despite the challenges, we were able to overcome the difficulties and the audience love the exercises that we have produced.
No matter how hard one tries, nothing is perfect and this also applies to our lesson plan. Even though such hard work was given to produce a good lesson plan, there are few things that may lack during the process. Firstly, creating the lesson plan was time consuming and requires extra effort because the questions for the exercise part had to be produced manually. Secondly, the lesson plan is quite compact, thus, the lesson plan is more suitable for two class period; where the first period would be on the topic on dolphin and the second period would be on the topic on whales.
Lastly, our exercise materials are quite dull and formal. As a method of improvement we should make the exercises less formal and more catchy by adding more images and improve the colour of the layout.
